STS Semi-automated System in Port

The intelligent automated operation control system for Ship to Shore Gantry Cranes (hereinafter referred to as STS ) can be retrofitted on existed STS or directly integrated during the construction process of new STS.

The intelligent automated operation control system for STSs comprises the following:

• ECS (Equipment Control System),
• Communication system,
• Safety protection system,
• Intelligent recognition system,
• Automated control system,
• Remote operation control system.

The intelligent operation control system for STSs can read operation instructions from the Terminal Operating System (TOS) of port, and then dispatches them to the RTG for execution. STSs are integrated with the necessary perception, judgement, decision-making and execution capabilities systems, enabling them to carry out the instructions while ensuring operational safety, reducing operator involvement and enhancing operational efficiency.

The intelligent operation control system for STS also features high-definition remote audio-video capabilities, allowing for remote manual intervention when necessary to improve operational smoothness.
