Recently, six units of automated rail-mounted gantry cranes (ARMGs), custom-designed by Guide Intelligent for PSA (Port of Singapore Authority), successfully passed the basic electrical control tests, subsystem functional tests, and full-process simulation tests conducted by the owner at the Chinese manufacturing base. The equipment will soon be shipped to PSA’s Tuas Port in Singapore.
As one of the world’s leading port operators, PSA sets exceptionally high standards for the reliability, precision, and adaptability of automated equipment. Leveraging solid technical expertise and extensive project experience, Guide Intelligent earned strong recognition from PSA through its professional and efficient end-to-end services — from early communication and design review to installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.

In the first half of 2024, following in-depth preliminary discussions, Guide Intelligent and PSA held the official project kick-off meeting. Guide Intelligent promptly formed a dedicated project team across relevant departments, with clear responsibilities and detailed milestones to ensure efficient project execution. During the initial design phase, senior management and technical experts visited Singapore to engage in face-to-face requirement alignment and technical discussions with the owner. Additionally, both sides held biweekly online technical review sessions to address key issues such as technical challenges, product selection, solution optimization, and design pathways. The final design solution was successfully approved by PSA.
In late 2024, to precisely align the system with PSA’s operational needs, core developers of PLC, EIU, and CMS from Guide Intelligent traveled again to Singapore to conduct the Workflow Simulation Test (WST). Through immersive discussions, the team gained deeper insights into PSA’s real operational environment and key requirements. With a solution highly tailored to PSA’s needs, the system passed the tests smoothly.
From April to November 2025, the project entered the manufacturing, commissioning, and acceptance phase. During acceptance, PSA representatives visited the production site for on-site evaluation. Guide Intelligent project team successfully completed all tests for the six ARMGs, including basic electrical control tests, subsystem functional tests, and full-process simulation tests.

The successful completion of testing for all six customized ARMGs is a strong demonstration of Guide Intelligent’s technological capabilities and customized service excellence. Looking ahead, Guide Intelligent will continue to focus on technological innovation and product advancement in port automation, contributing greater value to the development of smart ports worldwide.
