CPA Container Branch Hosts Intelligent Container Upgrade Technical Exchange in Wuhan

Date: 2025-12-15

From December 10 to 12, the Technical Exchange Conference on Intelligent Upgrading of Traditional Container Terminals, organized by Container Branch of China Ports Association (CPA), was held grandly in Wuhan. The conference brought together industry expertise and conducted in-depth discussions around key topics related to the intelligent upgrading of traditional container terminals, injecting new momentum into the industry’s high-quality development.

Xiong Haiming, President of Guide Software, attended the conference and delivered a welcome speech, extending a warm welcome and sincere appreciation to leaders, experts, and industry colleagues. He noted that intelligent upgrading of terminals is a key pathway for improving quality and efficiency in the industry. This conference has provided a platform for exchange and cooperation. As a company serving the port industry, GUIDE expressed its gratitude for the support from all sectors and will continue to focus on technological innovation to contribute to the overall enhancement of smart port.

Zhang Tao, Deputy General Manager of Guide Intelligent, delivered a keynote presentation entitled “Autonomous Safety Management of Automated Container Equipment”. He proposed the core concept of “autonomous safety”, introducing an embedded safety architecture that does not rely on a central system. The architecture covers nearly 30 safety functions across three categories: active protection, safety detection, and risk prevention. Through multi-sensor fusion and AI technologies, it enables localized decision-making and a continuous safety closed loop, establishing an independent safety circuit from perception and decision-making to execution.

The conference focused on industry development challenges and technological frontiers, and conducted in-depth discussions on key topics including improving single-machine operational efficiency, requirements and implementation paths for autonomous safety management of remotely controlled equipment, construction schemes for 5G network redundancy, and the application of ARTG full-area positioning technology. Extensive exchanges were carried out around practical pathways for upgrading and renovating traditional terminals. Participants actively shared insights, providing new ideas and solutions for the intelligent transformation of traditional container terminals.

During the conference, participants visited the Guide Technology Exhibition Hall, where they observed up close the company’s technological achievements and R&D capabilities in automated drive products, intelligent control systems, and management software systems. They experienced firsthand the practical results of technological innovation empowering the upgrading of traditional terminals, with a strong atmosphere of on-site interaction.

The successful convening of this technical exchange conference built a platform for industry communication and cooperation, promoted innovation and application of intelligent upgrading technologies for traditional container terminals, and advanced the intelligent development of the port industry.
