Common Fault Diagnosis and Solution of Communication

Code No.: E162

CAN Communication Error on Slave Unit
- Confirm that the slave unit is functioning properly and meets the operational requirements.
- Verify the inter-unit fiber optic cable and ensure that communication between the slave unit and the main system is normal.
- Use the power-on process for individual units to troubleshoot before parallel operation.
- Check for any obvious breaks in the connecting cables between the control board and the fiber optic board of the slave unit.
- Power off the slave unit and then power it on again.

Code No.: E167

CAN Communication Error
- Confirm the VFD communication is functioning properly.

Code No.: E180

Communication Error
- Disconnect the power supply and check whether the communication cables are wired correctly and whether there are any short circuits or broken lines.
- Disconnect the power supply and check whether the communication card is connected correctly.
- Disconnect the power supply and check whether the communication configuration is correct.
-Power on the VFD and check the status of the communication control word CW0.4.
- Disconnect the power supply and check whether there are any interference issues and whether all communication stations share a common ground.
- Disconnect the power supply and check the wiring of the control circuit, the main circuit and the grounding wire and whether anti-interference measures are fully implemented.
- Disconnect the power supply and check if the electromagnetic contactor is the source of interference, connect a surge suppressor to the coil of the electromagnetic contactor.
- Disconnect the power supply and check whether communication cables with good shielding performance are used and, if necessary, whether they are run through metal conduits with the shielding layer grounded.
- Disconnect the power supply and check whether an independent communication power supply is set up to serve as a dedicated power source for communication.
- Disconnect the power supply and check whether each communication interface module is functioning properly.
- Disconnect the power supply and check whether the control board or the communication card needs to be replaced.

Code No.: E181

Communication Alarm

Code No.: E202

Modbus Communication Error
- Confirm the status of the Modbus communication control word signal (CW0.4): if the value is 0, there is an error in the PLC settings. If the value is 1, the PLC is functioning properly, but the communication card should be replaced and tested.

Code No.: E203

Drive Control Signal Error
- In DP communication, the control word and theterminal of terminal control are both no signal. Use the VFD panel to check whether the digital input terminal is set to 0 or 1. If it is 0, check the PLC program.
